Mobile county commissioners take emergency action Wednesday afternoon to fix part of a busy highway in west Mobile.Part of Old Pascagoula Road in Theodore collapsed over the weekend because of flood waters.
The road has been closed since the foundation underneath was washed out.
Mobile County Commissioner Mike Dean said, "There has been quite a bit of rain, and it just washed out the road and a couple of vehicles got in the water, and so we're trying to get that road built as quick and as fast as possible. Instead of doing the regular two week meeting, we had an emergency meeting in order to get the contract, and get the contract working."
Dean said repairs will start as soon as possible.
Repairs Expected Monday On Washed Out Road
