Three straight days of rain is causing flash flooding across the Gulf Coast.

In Citronelle, the rain actually caused a dam to break. Take a look at the picture on the right. Notice the boat in the spot shadow.

Cheri Ellison says the pond on her in-law's property got more than 19" of rain between Wednesday and Friday. It was too much for the dam. It gave way Friday.

Ellison says they enjoyed some of the fish last night and were able to save several to put in another pond on the property. The rest as she said will feed the wildlife for miles.

Here’s hoping all that water went to a creek and not onto someone Else’s property and caused damage.I bet the lawyers are all ready circling over head looking for victims.

This dam belongs to my in-laws, William & Shirley Ellison.  He built it over 20 years ago.  They live next to us at the end of Patrick Rd, in Citronelle.  Cheri Ellison
