The Baldwin County Emergency Management Agency will open three storm shelters at 8:00 Monday night in response to the threat of severe weather.The News 5 First Alert Storm Team predicts a line of strong storms, advancing from the west in advance of a cold front, will reach Harrison, Greene, George and Jackson Counties in Mississippi as early as 10:00 p.m. The same storms should reach Mobile and Baldwin Counties by midnight.
The 3 Baldwin Co. shelters that will open tonight are:
Baldwin County Level II Community Shelter
207 North White Ave.
Bay Minette
Fairhope Satellite Courthouse
1100 Fairhope Ave.
Fairhope
Foley Satellite Courthouse
201 East Section St.
Foley
People who choose to go to any of the three shelters need to bring sleeping bags, pillows, snacks, drinks, medications and any other personal items they need to stay comfortable. Family pets are not be allowed.
The shelters will remain open until the threat of severe weather has passed.
