This is disgusting. People have had years to prepare for this. It’s time to get done with it. I’m tired of our government picking up slack, and telling me to do the same.

Alabama Jim, strange you say “u r a sorry sort of beggar”! I spent the required money to be able to receive the programming. I’m not the one “begging” for a delay in the changeover. I’m not rich, and probably considered middle, maybe even lower class. However, I got enough sense to know no one is going to GIVE me anything. I work, I keep a job, and all my bills are paid. I manage to make it on the small amount of income me and my wife have. It’s called living within your means, and not above them.

I’m not sure how legal it would or wouldn’t be, but you ought to find a friend or family member that already has digital TVs and get them to get a coupon for you. I’m sure someone you know already has TVs that are capable of receiving the programming without the converter, and they would not need the box but would still be eligible to receive one.

There ought to be something you can do about getting another coupon, if indeed you can prove you didn’t get one and it hasn’t been used. Then again, rumor has it people have been cashing in the coupons, and selling the converter boxes. Anyway, the point was the delay is going to do nothing beyond postponing the inevitable. I’m sorry if you can’t afford the coupon, I would not just give up though. You can find the boxes as low as 50$(shipping included). I mean they not going to come and give you one on June 12, so if you don’t have one by then you’ll just be SOL.

Well Ill tell you the reason I have not gotten one yet is because I don’t have the money and the coupon was lost in the mail and now I can’t have one. so don’t get mad at the people that DONT HAVE THE MONEY!!!!

bamagirl07, it’s called technology and the “digital age”! I think it’s pretty silly for WKRG to punish the majority(over 90%) of viewers because the minority(approx 2%) is too cheap, or too lazy to go out and get a converter box. If they haven’t got out the house and got one by now, THEY NOT GOING TO. Not that it bothers me I can’t get their signal from here, but I still just think it’s not fair to those who were scared into the change and purchased the proper equipment immediately.

That good I don’t know why they wkrg wanted to go ahead with it anyway…Its all just a waste of money. When a storm comes you want be able to recive any news or weather like you can with just a regular satilite. (Msp)
