Do you ever have a problem getting your child up for school in the morning? Students at George Hall Elementary in Maysville enjoy going to school! In fact, the school has a 98% attendance rate, and plenty of awards to boot!

So what makes these Pre-K through 5th grade students eager to attend class? Teachers say it's all in the way the children are being taught!

From the new broadcast studio, to the newspaper's website, and even podcasts, technology is helping Hall Elementary School students learn vocabulary.
Elizabeth Reints a teacher at Hall Elementary says field trips also help vocabulary words come alive.
"When we came here as a beginning transformation school five years ago, our students vocabulary was an area that we could improve on."

This type of teaching has dramatically increased test scores.
"We are very close to 100% proficient in math and reading at 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. Our students work very hard for us."

With county wide school budget cuts, field trips have been scaled back. But teachers tell us that every grade gets to go on at least one field trip a year.

To see some of the students work in action, check out this website.

Mobile County elementary school uses technology to make learning fun.
