- Century Tel customers should no longer have any phone trouble, including 911 service.
11:55 a.m.
People living in south Baldwin County are unable to call 911.
Century Tel, Baldwin county's largest phone provider, tells News 5 a blown fuse damaged 911 equipment at their office in Foley.
Residents of Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Foley, Robertsdale and Loxley are all being asked to call their local police department if they have an emergency.
Some residential, business and cellular service is also being effected. If you are a Century Tel customer and do not have phone service, find a working phone and call Century Tel to report the outage.
