Incumbent Sessions Coasts to Re-Election in Alabama US Senate Race: In an election for United States Senator from Alabama today, 09/18/08, 7 weeks from the vote, incumbent Republican Jeff Sessions defeats Democratic State Senator Vivian Davis Figures by a 2:1 margin, 66% to 31%, according to this latest WKRG-TV poll conducted by SurveyUSA.
Sessions draws broad support from most demographic groups, winning men by 44 points and women by 27 points. 93% of Republicans, 78% of Independents, and 25% of Democrats vote for the incumbent Republican. Figures leads among Democrats, liberals, blacks, and pro-choice voters. |

Filtering: SurveyUSA interviewed 900 Alabama adults 09/16/08 through 09/17/08. Of them, 824 were registered to vote. Of the registered voters, 655 were determined by SurveyUSA to be likely voters in the 11/04/08 general election.
