A surf and turf bet has been thrown down between the governors of Colorado and Massachusetts. The Colorado Rockies take on the Boston Red Sox in game one of the World Series today. And the heads of both states have set the stakes pretty high.
If the Rockies bring home the title, Colorado Governor Bill Ritter will be chowing down on a lobster and clam chowder feast courtesy of the State of Massachusetts. Governor Deval Patrick has put his money where his mouth is, and will be enjoying Colorado beef and buffalo steaks if his home team, the Boston Red Sox take the series.
The Rockies easily swept the Philadelphia Phillies to make their way into the World Series. The Red Sox were down 3 games to 1 against the Cleveland Indians before they battled back to earn a spot in tonight's final.
