Confusion at Mobile Polling Place

Confusion at Mobile Polling Place

Posted: Updated:
Confusion Tuesday at one of the polling places at Dotch Community Center in Mobile.  Despite mandatory training, Probate Judge Don Davis tells News Five some ballot and desk clerks didn't understood that location to be a multiple ballot precinct.
Davis says that led to some people possibly receiving the wrong ballots, the polling place ran out of ballots, and it didn't have provisional ballots.

According to one poll worker, they had to turn away voters.  "25 to 30 people have been turned away.  When one voter is denied, all voters are denied. Democracy is at peril", said Howard Porter.

Judge Davis' and The Mobile County Sheriff's Offices responded by delivering emergency ballots to the location.  However,  Davis says there's no way to determine which voters may have received incorrect ballots.
