It was a heartbreaking loss for family and friends of a young woman from Mobile. Brittany Huber was headed back for her wedding this weekend but never made it home.

She and her fiancé, John Redman, were in a car accident that happened in Georgia Monday evening. Brittany died and her husband-to-be is still in the hospital.

People who knew her are still stunned who, having to go from planning a wedding to a funeral. Her bridesmaids say they were even planning on having a bridesmaids’ dinner Wednesday night.

They say the world lost an amazing and ambitious person.

“She was such a genuine good hearted person. She could be honest whenever you needed her to be. She was truly just genuine she loved her friends she absolutely loved and adored her family,” said Cheryl Buchel.

Huber went to college and earned two degree. Her friends also pointed out that she was deaf, but never used that as an excuse.

“I remember her looking at me and saying if you could only see the world the way that I see it, you would understand that living with the disability of being deaf is really a blessing to me,” said Samantha Kendrick-Callaghan.

Redman is still in an Atlanta hospital ICU recovering. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.

The visitation is scheduled for Friday at 5 PM at Spring Hill Baptist Church.
