MOBILE, Alabama -

25-year-old Kymberli Lindsay and 20-year-old Saraya Atkins are accused of robbing and killing Robert Perry Tuesday in Coden.

On Wednesday District Attorney Ashley Rich upgraded their charges to capital murder.

Atkins is the suspected shooter, accused of firing multiple shots from a .375 magnum. One of those bullets killed Perry.

"There were 3 shots fired, 3 casings found in the revolver, but only 1 shot actually hit and killed the victim," says Rich.

"I don't believe they thought it would turn out the way it turned out, but when you carry or use a gun in a crime there's always the risk of that happening," said Lt. Paul Burch with the Mobile County Sheriff's Office.

Officials believe the two women followed Perry and his daughter home from Walmart in Tillman's Corner Tuesday afternoon with the intention of robbing the victims.

Both suspects are set to appear before a judge Thursday morning for a bond hearing.
