Baldwin County School Expansion Meetings Set

Baldwin County School Expansion Meetings Set

Posted: Updated:
BAY MINETTE, Alabama -     School leaders in Baldwin County will address its growing student body next week with a series of community meetings. School Superintendent Dr. Alan Lee sent out a note to parents this week saying, "With new industries, highway development, and commercial business growth in Baldwin County, the number of residents will continue to escalate and the numbers of students who attend our schools will continue to increase. As a result, we will run out of room in most of our schools; there is not an attendance zone that does not have building needs."
Dr. Lee wants to hear from parents on what the next steps should be when it comes to expanding overcrowded schools. Here is the list of meetings:

March 11 at 6:00 PM - Robertsdale High School: focus on Rosinton, Loxley, Elsanor, Silverhill and Robertsdale schools.

April 1 at 6:00 PM - Gulf Shores High School: focus on Gulf Shores Schools, Orange Beach

April 8 at 6:00 PM - Fairhope High School: focus on Fairhope Schools, J. Larry Newton School

April 29 - Foley High School: focus on Foley Schools, Elberta Schools, Magnolia, Summerdale

May 6 - Daphne High School: focus on Daphne Schools

May 27 - Spanish Fort High School: focus on Spanish Fort Schools
