GEORGE COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI -

A high-speed chase crossed state lines Friday afternoon, ending in George County, Mississippi.

A Nissan truck was surrounded by deputies from Mobile on Beaver Creek Road.

Authorities say the truck was filled with stolen barrells and metal, taken from a property behind Lott Road Bible Church in Semmes.

The driver, 42-year-old Brian Thomas was arrested and also charged with violating parole. He and his passenger were taken to Mobile Metro Jail.

The driver wasn't saying much. He only told our cameras, "Love you Jennifer, Happy Valentine's Day!"

A pitbull was inside the truck and was taken to the Mobile County Animal Shelter.
