New Grocery Chain Brings Big Crowd

New Grocery Chain Brings Big Crowd

Posted: Updated:
MOBILE, Ala. -

Rouse's has officially opened it's first grocery store in the Mobile area.

The store is located at 7361 Theodore Dawes Road.

Sunday, the store was packed for the grand opening and ribbon cutting. Most folks News 5 talked to were especially impressed with the meat selection at the store.

The grocery chain, which is based in Louisiana, prides itself on fresh foods and customer service, which they hope will keep the crowds coming back.

More stores are coming to the area. Right now, they are all fully staffed, however, applications are still being accepted.

The chain's Old Shell Road location was scheduled to open on Wednesday, but weather has delayed some deliveries for the store's grand opening. Stores in Saraland, Spanish Fort and Gulf Shores are opening later this month.
