RALEIGH, N.C. -

Raleigh Police arrested a 24-year-old man in relation to a shooting incident that left three injured near Tipton and Coleman streets Thursday.

Police responded to a shooting call around 2:20 p.m. and found three victims within a few blocks of the intersection of Tipton and Coleman streets.

Department detectives obtained arrest warrants charging Joel Fitzgerald Hamlin Jr., 24, with three counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Police said Hamlin was located and taken into custody Friday without further incident. He has been transported to the Wake County Detention Center.

The three victims were transported to WakeMed, police said. None of the victims are believed to have sustained life-threatening injuries.

Police identified the victims as Anthony Marcell McLean Jr., 23, Sandy Lammaric Spence, 29, and Joshua Qurain Walker, 22.

Due to their proximity to Ligon Middle, Carnage Middle and Hunter Elementary schools, all three schools were placed on lockdown for about 30 minutes to ensure the safety of the students and staff.

No one at any of the schools was hurt.
