School Closings; Delays

Posted: Updated:
Mobile County Public Schools will delay the start of school by two hours on both Tuesday and Wednesday, due to record-breaking temperatures caused by an Arctic blast.
Buses will run their regular routes, and students will be picked up at their normal stops exactly two hours later than usual.
All school system employees will report to work at their regular time.

Baldwin County Public Schools will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 7.
Students will make up the day by going the entire day on Jan. 10 and March 14. These days were originally scheduled as half days.

Satsuma City Schools will delay opening tomorrow, Tuesday, January 7th, until 10:00 AM.  All buses will begin their routes between 9:20 AM and 9:30 AM. The exact time for your student's route can be found on the Satsuma City School System Facebook page and on the Satsuma City Schools district web site at satsumaschools.com. Satsuma School Officials will continue to evaluate the weather for Wednesday during the day tomorrow.

Thomasville schools will be open Tuesday.  Students are not required to follow the dresscode tomorrow due to cold weather.  Same with all Clarke County and Washington County schools.

Monroe County schools will open late as well. They will open at 10:00 and go until three.
