MONTGOMERY, AL - A Montgomery man has been charged with capital murder after a Dec. 28 shooting that killed two and injured six others.

According to the Montgomery Police Department, Jason McWilliams, 25, was charged with two counts of capital murder in the death of Kimberle Johnson, 21, and Glenn Thomas, 22, both of Montgomery. Thomas was also known as rapper Doe B.

The MPD says around 1 a.m. Dec. 28, they and Fire Medics responded to the Centennial Bar and Grill on a report of multiple people shot. Thomas and Johnson, along with six other people, were found to have sustained gunshot wounds.

Johnson was pronounced dead on the scene, while Thomas was transported to Baptist Medical Center South where he was later pronounced dead.

The MPD believes the shooting was the result of an ongoing dispute between McWilliams and Thomas.

McWilliams is being held at the Montgomery County Detention Facility without bond.
