Ham, Cheddar and Apple Butter Sarnie
4 Hawaiian King Bread buns or crescent rolls
4 tsp oil or melted butter
1 pound sliced, smoked ham
Apple butter to taste
4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
Heat a griddle or skillet to medium heat. Paint the insides of each bun with oil or butter and place butter side down on the griddle. Toast until brown then turn over for about 30 seconds. Set aside.
Divide the pound of ham into four equal portions and add to the hot griddle. While ham is cooking spread apple butter to taste on the top and bottom of each bun. When the ham starts to brown, turn. Add a slice of cheese to each portion of ham and cook until cheese melts then add inside of each bun and serve.
