Down To The Wire

DAPHNE, Alabama -

With only hours left to secure votes before the Republican runoff, Bradley Byrne and Dean Young are in the last leg of what's been a colorful, and at times, ugly race.

Young spent Monday grabbing last-minute supporters in Baldwin County.

Byrne focused his efforts in Mobile County, meeting with supporters in Semmes, midtown Mobile and in Bayou La Batre.

Young says he's gained momentum the past few weeks, thanks in part to an aggressive, grassroots campaign and last minute endorsements.

Byrne has also picked up local and national endorsements and says his political resume and experience gives him a clear edge over his opponent.

Polls open Tuesday at 7am.
