Chessie: Sister Knows What Happened to Brittney.

MOBILE, Ala. -

The mother of Brittney Wood is hoping the latest string of arrests in her family will give answers about her missing daughter.

Chessie Wood called a press conference Tuesday afternoon. It's been than a year and a half since Brittney went missing.

Since then nearly a dozen members of family and friends have been arrested in a sex crimes investigation, including Chessie herself and her sisters. She thinks one of them is withholding information about what happened to Brittney.

“Wendy Holland I believe is the one that holds the key to my daughters disappearances and to this day Brittney is my number one focus I have got to bring her home for her baby and then I can move on to the other things going on, but right home I need to bring Brittney home,” said Chessie.

Wendy Holland was married to Donnie Holland who committed suicide two days after Brittney disappeared.

Chessie Wood says proclaims her innocence and says she had no idea sex crimes were happening in the family until after her daughter went missing.

“They were excellent at what they did. For your own family to hide something so heinous from your own family you’re hurting their children and you can hide it and manipulate it them good enough to where they won't seek help is just beyond. I just can't see where they would have done that,” said Chessie.
