Murder Victim's Family: He Loved Life and People

MOBILE, Alabama -

Family of a man gunned down near downtown Mobile are now beginning to make funeral arrangements for the father of three.

Joseph O'Brien's body was found late Wednesday night in the parking lot of the Post Office at Springhill Avenue and Broad Street.

Police say they still have no leads or suspects in the case.

"Every emotion; sadness, anger," said O'Brien's Daughter Macy Bauman. "You hear about these crimes all the time but never in a million years would you think that something like this would happen to you. I'm angry that he was taken from me, sad that he is gone and at peace because I know he is at peace."

A vigil is planned Sunday in memory of Joseph O'brien. It's set for 7 p.m. at the post office at Broad and Springhill. The public is encouraged to attend.
