Authorities Search For Another Escaped Inmate

Decatur, AL - Inmate Cody Wade Snelling is considered an escapee from the Decatur Community Based Facility. All appropriate law enforcement agencies were notified at the time of the escape. 

On October 23, 2013, at approximately 12:00 p.m., Snelling, DOB 11-05-90, was placed on escape after he could not be located during an institutional count.  Snelling is classified as a community custody inmate and is allowed employment outside the facility.  It was determined that Snelling failed to return from his place of employment. 

Snelling is a white male, 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds, with brown hair, and blue eyes. He is sentenced out of Calhoun County on April 11, 2013, and is serving a 2 year sentence for burglary. Snelling’s expiration of sentence date is November 15, 2013.
