MCSO Says No Charges Against Bus Driver

MCSO Says No Charges Against Bus Driver

Posted: Updated:
Semmes, AL -

The Mobile County Sheriff’s office says they will not be filing charges against a school bus driver accused of assaulting students on her bus.  Joe Mahoney with the sheriff’s office says the video does not support the allegations made by 17-year-old Haley Stapleton and her two sisters.   Mahoney says they consulted with the District Attorney and determined there was no probable cause for charges.

Mahoney says he did not view the video.  However he says the investigators say it appears the dispute was over a cell phone.  Haley Stapleton claimed the bus driver shoved her against the window.  The bus driver was not removed from duty during the investigation.
