Suspects Arrested After High Speed Highway Chase

BAY MINETTE, Alabama -

Two suspects are in custody after a high speed chase spanning Mobile and Baldwin Counties.  It started with a red car trying to avoid authorities on I-10.  At speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour the suspects led state troopers and deputies on a chase from I-10 to I-65 north. 

The chase ended around the Bay Minette exit in Baldwin County.  The suspect’s vehicle flipped when the driver tried to swerve and avoid a spike strip on the road.  The two fled on foot but were eventually captured.  This went down at about 9am Wednesday morning.  


Our reporter on the scene Ashley Knight says it appears deputies have recovered a cigarette carton filled with credit cards.  It appears the cards are being swiped with some sort of scanner.
