Eastern Shore Home Depot Ready for Storm Preps

Posted: Updated:

Folks are trickling in here at the Home Depot on the Eastern Shore, folks inside, getting ready, making sure all the supplies are right where folks can find them so everyone is prepared this weekend.

Starting first thing this morning, Assistant Store Manager Raul Pulido was making sure his staff was on their toes.

“As we speak, we already have some of the generators and necessary items for customers,” says Pulido.

It’s all hands on deck, moving crucial supplies closer to the front doors so customers won’t have to go far to find what they need. Barry Simpson found what he needed—he’s lived all his life in Mobile and keeps an eye out on the gulf.

“Been following it  for a couple of days and we don’t have a generator so we thought maybe it’s time. Hopefully we won’t need it, but if we do, we’ve got it,” says Simpson.

And even though the storm headed for us this weekend may not be a major blow for the bay, it’s still a good idea to come on down and get supplies just in case because the next one might not be as forgiving.

“Always want to be prepared, you know, before everyone starts panicking,” adds Pulido.

And while the Home Depot says they don’t anticipate running out of supplies, they did say their warehouse is very good at sending extra items very quickly if needed.
