Traditional Collard Recipe
1-2 bunches of fresh Collards
Salt (to taste)
5 slices of Conecuh Bacon
1. Prep Collards: cut 2-3 inches above base of stem. Chop remainder of stem and leaves. Soak in water to clean
2. Boil water with salt and bacon
3. Allow water, bacon, and salt to boil for 30-45 minutes to flavor the water
4. Add Collards
5. Boil until tender (approximately 45-60 min)
