Elberta Woman Assaulted In Violent Home Invasion

An Elberta woman was attacked at gunpoint by two men who forced their way inside her home Tuesday morning.

The crime happened at a house on Brighton Avenue in the Miflin community.

The woman told police the men held her at gunpoint, assaulted her then ransacked her residence.

The men stole cash, jewelry, old coins and the woman's IPhone.

Elberta police called in units from Foley and Gulf Shores to assist in the manhunt, but the suspects were not found.

One of the men was wearing a camouflage jacket, black pants and a bandana covering his face.

The suspects could be teenagers.

Police say there could be a third suspect who acted as a getaway driver. Call the Elberta Police Dept. if you have any information about the home invasion.
