Large Crowd Expected For Pipeline Lawsuit

Large Crowd Expected For Pipeline Lawsuit

Posted: Updated:
Mobile, AL -

Lawyers for Plains Southcap and the Mobile Area Water and Sewer system will be in probate court Thursday morning.  MAWSS wants the judge to dismiss the lawsuit Plains has filed.  The pipeline company is suing because they need to acquire one final piece of land to build a crude oil pipeline through Mobile’s watershed.

MAWSS argues since Plains is an LLC it does not have eminent domain authority.  Plains disagrees with that assessment.  Judge Don Davis may rule on the issue tomorrow.  Plains also filed a series of objections to MAWSS arguments Tuesday.
