PRICHARD, AL -

JaLonna law isn't having a great Labor Day weekend.  She says she was shot during an attempted carjacking.

“They hit me in the back, it came out my chest and went in my left arm,” says Law.  She says the bullet is still in her arm and the memory of what happened in still fresh in her mind.  It started Saturday night at this home.  JaLonna says her friend came to pick her up when she saw something happening across the street at Club Vibe.

“To where I saw four to five guys across the street at the club standing outside dressed in camouflage, with bandanas over their faces,” says Law.  “And so I turned to my friend and said I think we need to go and I just had this feeling that something was going to happen.”  She says she saw the men get locked out of the club and then they walked across the street to her car.

“And they was telling us to get out and in the process of that my friend cranked his car up and was trying to go and as we were leaving they shot four to five rounds,” says Law.  She says with all the blood she saw after being shot she wasn't sure she was going to live.  Law was taken to USA Medical Center and has been there since Saturday night, passing time with her phone and her family at her side.

“I hope the guys that did this are found and arrested and do the time for the crime that was committed,” says the victim’s mother Ann Law.
