Fight Between 2 Ala. Coaches Prompts Investigation

Posted: Updated:
JASPER, AL - Police and Alabama high school officials are investigating a postgame fight between two football coaches that left one with a bloodied face and torn shirt.

A Jasper television station's video posted at al.com shows the coaches fighting near the 30-yard line shortly after the Friday night game between Walker and Cullman high schools in Jasper.

Jasper City Schools officials tell The Daily Mountain Eagle that Walker Head Coach John Holladay has been placed on administrative leave.

Cullman defensive coordinator Matt Hopper emerged from the fracas with blood streaming down his face.

Cullman Board of Education President Suzanne Harbin says no disciplinary action is planned for any of the Cullman coaches or players. She said they acted "with class and dignity."
