Authorities in Baldwin County are warning both locals and visitors about two new Internet and phone scams.
In the first scam, a man identifying himself as a sheriff's deputy randomly calls homeowners and tells them warrants are out for their arrests for failing to appear for jury duty.
The fake cops is pushy and angry and tells the potential victim he or she can settle the fine over the phone with a credit card.
In the second alert, scammers are listing bogus rental property on Craig's List and collecting deposit money from vacationers.
But when the families show up at their beach houses, the property is already rented out and was never a legitimate rental.
Shopping for back to school clothes will be a little more exciting for high school students in Baldwin County this year.
