Police in Gulf Shores say two teens took a prank too far when they made homemade bombs and left them at a popular beach.
Lifeguards found the two bombs Monday afternoon at the West 6th Street beach access.
The explosives were in plastic bottles and contained alcohol and chlorine. One of the devices exploded.
Beach goers we talked to say the explosion sounded like a gunshot.
A bomb technician from the Mobile Police Dept. was called to Gulf Shores to safely remove the explosive.
No one was hurt...one of the juveniles is in police custody.
