4 cups canned garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
2/3 cup tahini
1/2 cup lemon juice
4 cloves garlic, chopped
2 teaspoons salt
3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
2 teaspoons paprika
In a food processor or blender mix tahini, lemon juice, garlic, and salt until combined. Add beans, olive oil, and paprika and blend until smooth. Add a bit of water if the hummus is too thick. Taste, then adjust seasoning as needed.
Serve cold or warm with additional olive oil and paprika on top. Serve with warm pita bread, fresh vegetables, your favorite crackers, or as a condiment on sandwiches.
