Parade and MoonPie Drop Tomorrow Night

MOBILE,Ala. -

Mobile will be hosting a Mardi Gras parade Saturday night in downtown.

The parade is to celebrate the Southern Legislative Conference.

In addition to the parade a laser show and Moonpie Drop will happen too.

The parade starts at 7:30 PM and the laser show and MoonPie drop will happen at 9:05PM.

The parade route will start at the Civic Center proceeding to Church st., then east on Church to Royal Street, north on Royal Street to St. Francis, west on St. Francis to Conception, south on Conception to Government, west on Government to Claiborne for return to the Civic Center.

    DEVELOPING STORY: Prichard police say a 14-year-old student took a gun to Vigor High School and pulled it on another student during a fight. Police say the student tried to fire the gun twice, but school leaders stepped in before anyone was hurt. It is not clear at this time if the gun was working or if the safety was on.
