Blackened Shrimp and Crawfish Nachos

Here's a great idea for that leftover crawfish from summer crawfish boils.

Blackened shrimp and crawfish nachos:


Nacho cheese sauce

2tbsp butter

2tbsp flour

1 cup heavy cream

1/2ea red and green bell peppers diced

1/2cup shredded Cheddar

1/2cup shredded pepperjack

Salt and pepper to taste


Melt butter in sauce pan. Add peppers. Stir in flour. Add heavy cream.

Reduce. Slowly add cheeses. Melt. Salt and pepper to taste.



8oz shrimp (90-110)

8oz crawfish

Other 1/2 red and green bell peppers diced Tbsp olive oil Tbsp blackened seasoning Tbsp chili powder


In saute pan add olive oil and peppers. Saute. Add shrimp and crawfish. Dust with seasonings. Waite until shrimp are cooked through.


Assemble in 4 bowls:

Tortilla chips

Nacho cheese sauce

Seafood mixture


Diced tomatoes

Shredded lettuce

Sour cream


Serves 4
