CULLMAN, Ala. -

Organizers of the upcoming Rock the South music festival in Cullman expect as many as 40,000 people to show up over two days.

The Cullman Times reports (http://bit.ly/19Y9xy2 ) that such a turnout for this weekend's event could double last year's attendance.

Officials say more than 14,000 tickets have already been pre-sold, and officials say they expect sales at the gate and on the final day to continue to rise heading into the weekend.

The event will feature Hank Williams, Jr., The Band Perry, Sara Evans, Gregg Allman and others. Organizers say Willie Robertson, star of A&E's hit series Duck Dynasty, will also be at the event to meet and greet fans.
