Tropical Depression Two has developed in the Caribbean Sea. It has maximum sustained winds of 35 mph and is moving WNW at 13 mph. This path will take it towards Belize and the Yucatan Peninsula later today and tonight.
The system will reemerge in the Bay of Campeche on Tuesday before impacting central Mexico later this week. Computer models are in agreement that this system will not move north towards our region.
The forecast track from the National Hurricane Center reflects this, with the cone of possibility coming no farther north than Tampico.
