Saraland Resident Struck & Killed in Mobile Saturday Night

On Saturday, June 15, 2013, at approximately 9:20 p.m., officers responded to West I-65 Service Road South, between Old Shell Road and Dauphin Street, for a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.

The investigation revealed 43 year-old Terry Adams of Saraland was walking northbound on the service road with a companion when he was struck from behind as he walked in the roadway. Adams was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigation also revealed the prime contributors in this crash are a pedestrian violation, dim lighting and dark clothing. Alcohol/drug impairment and speed were not contributing factors. No charges are expected to be filed in this case.
