'Big gas savings' Kmart commercial uses play on words

Posted: Updated:

Kmart has launched the latest in what appears to be an edgy string of commercials.

In April, one of its commercial went viral for a play on words.  Explaining the ease of shipping a product to a customer for free, the "ship my pants" commercial was a carefully constructed ad that had actors in the commercial repeating the words "ship my pants" numerous times.

Recently the store released a new ad that is likely to spark conversation. The new commercial is about ‘big gas savings' and uses a similar play on words. When said quickly, the phrase sounds like something very different – and it has many on the internet buzzing.
