BREAKING: 50 Dogs Found Hoarded in Wilmer Home

Posted: Updated:
MOBILE, Ala. -

News 5 has learned more than 50 dogs have been hoarded at a house in Wilmer, AL on North Morgan Lane.

The Mobile County Animal Shelter had to use four trucks to transport all of the dogs to the shelter.

Some of the dogs have mange, while others seem to be ok. They are all being checked out at the shelter.

Authorities say some of the dogs may have been stolen, so they are working on trying to find a way to reunite them with their owners.

Nancy Johnson with Mobile County Public affairs tells News 5, there is room at the county animal shelter for all of the dogs, and none of them will be euthanized, unless they get a call about more animals.

News 5 is still learning more details behind this, and will bring you team coverage tonight on News 5.
