Sulphur Springs celebrates community garden

TAMPA, FL (WFLA) -

Community Gardens have been sprouting up around the Bay Area.  Today residents in Sulphur Springs celebrated the completion of their first community garden in their neighborhood.  Volunteers including Eden Project, Hillsborough Community College's Phi Theta Kappa organization, YMCA and Harvest in the Hood all contributed to this project.  Volunteers planted Lettuce, okra, squash and other vegetables.

Organizers hope this garden will promote healthy eating in the neighborhood.
