Dozens show up to Audition for Nic Cage Movie

MOBILE, Alabama -

People lined the streets Thursday morning for a chance to be in a major motion picture that stars Nicholas Cage.

The production company held open auditions downtown and more than 100 people showed up to read and try out.

"This is a pretty big deal a Nicolas cage movie coming down here to Mobile Alabama. It is crazy, but what is crazy to me is it being an open call for the public in general because usually it is not like that," said Seth Woodruff who came to tryout.

The entire film will be shot in Mobile.

Producers say they picked the city because of it's diverse landscape and good tax incentives provided by the state.

"We wanted something different, so that everyone is not shooting the same thing over and over again and mobile had all those things to offer. You guys have a fantastic tax incentive for the film industry and Michael and Richard wanted to take advantage of that," said Production Manager Richard Salvatore.

The movie is called Tokarev. Production starts early next month.
