A dead osprey was found hanging under a nest by fishing line on the north side of Wolf Bay.
Homeowner Doyle Rabren contacted News 5 after he saw our report on the dead pelicans at Gulf State Park- many of the birds were tangled in fishing line and were hooked.
Rabren also contacted the Coastal Wildlife Rescue Center of South Alabama.
Director Janet Ripp says she's helped get fishing hooks out of at least eight birds within the past two months.
