MOBILE, Alabama -

The teenager accused of gunning down Wendy Fisher on her street last year went before a judge Thursday.

Judge Michael Youngpeter decided to revoke Washington's youthful offender status. That would have meant Washington could be sentenced to a maximum of 3 years in prison. Now he face 20 years to life for the murder charge.

Washington's mother was court this morning, she says her son was not the shooter.

"I was hoping they gave my son youthful offender because I do believe they have the wrong person and I also believe my son is not a monster he is not a killer,"said Charlene Washington, Trayon's Mother.

Washington trial is set to begin on October 7.
