Baldwin County Crash Claims One LIfe, 2 Injuries

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. -

A single-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in Baldwin County claimed the life of one and injured two others. 

The crash happened around 5:35 p.m. on Baldwin County 64, 5 miles north of Robertsdale.

 Helen Hallford, 72, of Robertsdale was driving a 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis when she lost control of her vehicle, ran off the road and struck a tree. 

Two passengers in Hallford's vehicle were taken to USA Hospital in Mobile for treatment of their injuries. 

They were Kimberly H. Gardner, 39, of Robertsdale and a 12-year-old.

Hallford was pronounced dead at the scene by Baldwin County Assistant Coroner Rod Steade. 

No further information is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
