BAY MINETTE, Alabama -

A truck carrying 25-thousand in coins flipped and crashed on a rural road in Baldwin County.

The accident happened Monday on County Road 112 in the Gateswood community.

25-grand in quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies spilled across the highway.

The driver was treated for minor injuries- it took clean-up crews hours to pick up the coins.

We found a few pennies still remaining on the side of the road this afternoon.

The truck was hauling coins removed from Coin Star machines- machines often found in grocery stores that convert loose change in cash.
