Zip For Life

GULF SHORES, Alabama -

South Baldwin County's annual Relay for Life event is going on right now at Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores...and there's an added twist of excitement at this year's event!

This year's Relay for Life of the Alabama Gulf Coast is being held at the state park's new, zip-line attraction.

Sponsors are calling the event "Zip for Life."

Thrill-seekers brave enough to ride the zip line Saturday can help the American Cancer Society- a portion of today's ticket sales will go to the non-profit organization.

Relay for Life events are held across the U-S to remember and celebrate cancer survivors and patients.

The events help raise money for the A-C-S and help fund cancer research.

The event wraps up at 6am Sunday- there are plenty of overnight activities you can participate in including a midnight treasure hunt, Zumba at 2am, Karaoke at 3am and a pancake breakfast at 430.

WKRG T-V News 5 is one of the event's proud sponsors.
