Police Investigate Fatal Accident on DIP

Police say one man died and two others were injured in a one car accident on DIP Friday morning.  Just after 3am, officers responded to a wreck with injuries at the intersection of Dauphin Island Parkway and Duval Street.  Upon arrival, officers found a white Grand Marquis had left the roadway and struck a power pole.  The Driver of the vehicle, identified as 21 year old Jermaine Davis, was pronounced dead on the scene. His passengers were transported to the hospital with serious injuries.  Detectives believe speed is a factor. 

Traffic Homicide Detectives will continue the investigation.  If anyone has information about the incident, please call the Mobile Police Department at 208-7211.
