Santa Rosa Beach Man Charged with Child Pornography

SANTA ROSA COUNTY -

A Santa Rosa Beach man has been arrest for child pornography.

After receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, The Walton County Sheriff's Office and Cyber-crime investigators began looking into an online account that was trading child pornography media files.

The investigation led them to 61-year-old Lane Charles Rees.

Deputies got a search warrant and arrested Rees.

He was charged with Possession of Child Pornography and Transmission of Child Pornography, both third degree felonies which are punishable by a combined term of imprisonment not exceeding 10 years and a fine of $10,000.

Rees was taken and booked into the Walton County Department of Corrections.
