Heat Advisory Continues Saturday

MOBILE, Alabama -

The heat index will continue to soar Saturday, with readings around 105 to 110 degrees Saturday afternoon. Use caution if working or playing outside. Remember to hydrate and to take frequent breaks. Sunscreen would also be a good idea as UV rays are particularly strong this time of year.

Sunday looks about at hot as Saturday, with both days only getting a 20% chance of a cooling shower or thunderstorm.

Temperatures come down a few degrees and rain chances come up a few percentage points early next week.

In the tropics, an area of thunderstorms that could eventually turn into Cristobal is spinning near Hispaniola. Most computer models keep the possible storm off the East Coast of the United States. We'll keep watching, and have further updates through the weekend.
